Announcements:
Those signed up in the
Senior's Commodity Program at the McCreary
Christian Care Center can pick up food Wednesday
March 10th 2:00-5:00PM. This is the only time
that food can be picked up for this program.
Remember to bring bags, boxes or baskets to
carry food.
Free tax preparation
assistance is being offered each Wednesday from
9:00AM-12Noon at the McCreary County Senior Citizens'
Center. Bring last year's tax return, social security cards
and all income forms for 2009.
A free cooking class is being
offered by "Get Healthy McCreary" the third Tuesday of each
month at 6:30PM at the McCreary Christian Care Center. At each class you
will learn how to lose weight, eat healthier and feel better
by eating right. The next class will be Tuesday March 16th.
The Big South Fork Beekeepers
will meet Friday March 12th at 7:00PM at the
McCreary County Extension Office. For
information call 376-2524.
The McCreary County
Historical & Genealogical Society will meet
Monday March 15th at 7:00PM at the public
library. Everyone is welcome.
The Eagle Community Watch
will host a pinto bean dinner & pie auction at
the Eagle Community Center Saturday March 20th
with dinner at 5:00PM and the auction at 6:00PM.
All proceeds will support the community watch.
The public and all local candidates are welcome
to attend. Candidates will be given time to
speak at the event.
The 18th annual McCreary
County Health Fair is scheduled for Saturday March 27th from
8:00AM-12:00PM at McCreary Middle School. Those wishing to
set up a booth or get more information should contact the
McCreary Christian Care Center at 376-8742.
Church News & Announcements:
There will be a benefit singing for Dale Bell at Mt View
Baptist Church Saturday March 13th at 6:30PM with the Joyful
Noise.
School News & Announcements:
McCreary Central High School
Site Based Council will meet Thursday March 11th
at 4:00PM. Parent night at McCreary Central will
also be Thursday March 11th from 4:00-7:00PM
with progress reports available. Parents will
also be given information on the "parent portal"
where they can view student's grades online.
Refreshments will be served.
