CHURCH NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Lower Hickory Grove Baptist Church will host their annual missions conference Wednesday March 25th through Sunday March 29th with services nightly at 7:00PM and a special singing Saturday March 28th at 5:00PM. Everyone is welcome. 
Beulah Heights Church of God will resume Thursday night services starting Thursday March 26th at 7:00PM. Everyone is welcome.
Dixie Bend United Baptist Church will host a singing with the Chimney Rock Boys Saturday March 28th at 7:00PM. Everyone is welcome.
Cedar Grove Baptist Church will host a singing Sunday March 29th at 6:00PM to help raise money for a head stone for Brother Rex Gregory. Everyone is welcome. 
New Liberty Church will host a special singing Sunday March 29th at 7:00PM. Everyone is welcome.
First Otter Creek United Baptist Church will host a special Easter service Sunday April 5th starting at 10:00AM. The service will be followed by an Eatser egg hunt and dinner. Everyone is welcome.

McCreary County Hunter Education will offer a free course Friday March 27th at 6:00PM and Saturday March 28th at 9:00AM at the Sawbucks Bingo Hall on Highway 1651. For information call 376-3933 or 376-2834. Register online at fw.ky.gov.
American Legion Post 115 in Stearns will accept nominations for officers at the monthly meeting, the third Thursday of April.
The AARP is again offering free tax preparation assistance each Wednesday from 9:00AM-1:00PM at the McCreary County Senior Citizens Center. Please be sure to bring all necessary tax documents and income statements.
A benefit singing, dinner and auction will be held Friday March 27th from 6:00-9:00PM at the McCreary County Senior Citizens Center for cancer patient Sula Lynch. The proceeds will assist with medical and travel expenses. Singers will include Judy Redden, Dennis & Kathy Neal, Oasis, and others. The auctioneer will be Greg Burdine and dinner will include pinto beans, soups, dessert and drinks for $5.00. The PRIDE Cumberland Falls Spring Cleanup will be Saturday March 28th with registration starting at 9:00AM at the gift shop and the cleanup to follow. A free lunch will be held for volunteers at 12:00PM. All McCreary County Litter Abatement groups must volunteer for this event to be eligible for the program in 2015. Whitley City Fire Department will host a community blood drive Thursday April 2nd from 3:30-6:30PM in their training room. Donors must be at least 17 years of age, or 16 with parental consent, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health. For info. call 1-800-775-2522 or visit www.kybloodcenter.org.
Orie S. Ware Masonic Lodge in Stearns will host a free community Easter breakfast and egg hunt Saturday April 4th at their lodge. The breakfast begins at 9:00AM and the egg hunt at 10:30AM. It is free and open to the public.
"Easter in the Park" will be hosted at the McCreary County Park Saturday April 4th from 12:00-4:00PM with inflatables for kids, games, food and egg hunt. The Easter Bunny will also be on hand for pictures. A framed picture will cost $5.00, or you can take your own picture for free. The annual McCreary County Relay for Life "Hee Haw Show" will be Saturday April 18th at McCreary Central High School with shows at 3:00PM and 7:00PM. Admission is a $5.00 donation to the American Cancer Society with children 5 and under admitted free. For information call Freddie Patrick, Relay for Life Event Chair, at 606-310-1242.
The McCreary County Extension Service will host a Tastin' Luncheon Thursday April 23rd from 11:00AM-1:00PM at the McCreary County Public Lbrary. Proceeds will help McCreary County youth go to 4-H camp this summer. For information or to help, call the extension office at 376-2524.
