There will be a retirement party for Herbert McCulley
Saturday February 4th at 2:00PM at Horizon in Whitley City.
Herbert has retired after 32 years as a bus driver
transporting special needs and pre-school children. Everyone
is invited to attend.
The annual Southeast Kentucky Bee School will be held at
McCreary Central High School Saturday February 11th with
registration at 8:00AM and the sessions starting at 9:00AM.
Topics will include beginning beekeeping, queen rearing,
increasing by making splits, plants for honey production and
more. Registration is $10 in advance or $15 at the door with

The McCreary County Performing Arts Council will present the
comedy murder mystery "All Over But The Shooting" Friday
February 24th and Saturday February 25th at the McCreary
County Public Library. Doors open with refreshments served
at 6:00PM and the play starts at 7:00PM. Tickets are $12
each and are available in advance at the library.
Girl Scouts in McCreary County are now taking orders for
their annual cookie sales with cookies expected back by late
February. Cookies are available in several varieties for
$3.50 per box with proceeds helping to support Girl Scout

A new McCreary County Community Watch program will meet the
third Thursday of each month at 7:00PM at the public
library. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend.

The Lord's Cafe in the former Blue Heron Restaurant building
still offers free lunch every Monday, Wednesday and Friday
from 11:00AM-1:30PM. The Lord's Cafe is a project of the
Crossroads Community Baptist Church.
